Detox your Body Using Ingredients You Already Have at Home

 There has been a lot of hype surrounding detoxing your body, to jumpstart your weight loss.  Today I am going to give a few ideas on how to make your own cleansing drinks to help your body detox bad toxins and make you feel better, and perhaps lose weight.


What are some ways to help detox your body?

First, we will talk about the lemonade cleanse.  Lemons contain a natural body cleanser called ascorbic acid so using them in this detox process will work really well. All you need is two tablespoons of fresh squeezed lemon juice, two tablespoons of pure maple syrup, and one-tenth of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper. You then mix these ingredients into an eight ounce glass of water and drink eight times a day for the whole day. You may not eat anything else the whole day of this cleanse, which claims to clean out all toxins out of your body.  Next, we have the green detox drink.   This vegetable based drink is made up of mostly green leafy vegetables that cause your body to rid itself of bad toxins.  The ingredients in this drink are three carrots, three kale leaves, two celery stalks, two beets, one turnip, and half bunch of spinach, half of a cabbage, half bunch of parsley, half an onion, and two garlic cloves.  You put all of the items in a blender and puree to drink. You drink this and then your body will start to detox itself from toxins.

What are some other ways to detox?  

                Next, we have the detox dandelion tea.  This tea was created by a homeopathic doctor name Sonya McLeod.  Since dandelion flowers are high in vitamin A, potassium, iron, and calcium she figured this would make a perfect tea based detox.  This tea acts like a diuretic that will eliminate toxins from your kidneys by flushing the toxins out through your urine.  For this tea you need six tablespoons of one year dried dandelion root, and twelve tablespoons of fresh dandelion leaves in four cups of boiling water.  Then you sip your tea and you should see results.  Lastly, we have the fruit detox drink.  This drink is very high in fiber and has many of the nutrients needed to keep your body strong and healthy.  The recipe for this is eight ounces of orange juice, four ounces of pure water, half cup of banana, strawberries or yogurt, half inch slice of ginger, one small garlic clove, one tablespoon flax oil, one tablespoon lecithin granules, one tablespoon of fresh lemon juice, and one tablespoon of protein powder.  Drink this and your body will detox but will still keep your body satisfied with nutrients your body needs every day.
